Welcome to Sagamore Homes! We realize that your house is not only one of your greatest investments, but also where your family calls home. Our desire is to offer well-designed floorplans that optimize luxury and style as a backdrop for the times of your life. We provide quality construction with a dedicated focus on craftsmanship and attention to detail that sets us apart.

Sagamore Homes, rooted in the Piedmont Triad since 2012, is a privately held company comprised of three owners – Ken Anson, President; Jim Merrill, Director of Construction and Operations; and Tripp Bunker, Vice President of Land Acquisitions and Development.

Ken Anson, President of Sagamore Homes

Ken is a second-generation homebuilder with a career spanning 35 years and earned a degree in Construction Sciences from the University of Florida.  He has built thousands of homes in the North and South Carolina markets with Sagamore Homes as well as with a single-family homebuilding company he owned and grew. When he sold it to a large public homebuilder, the most recent year prior they had built 400 homes!  Ken’s experience also spans management responsibilities in all areas of home building:  sales, land acquisition, finance and banking, construction and operations and has served as president/division manager for 3 companies that have operated in the Triad market over the last 15 years.


Jim Merrill, Director of Construction and Operations

“We strive to give buyers a superior value and a selection of floorplans that are thoughtfully designed. My personal mission is to have fun regardless of what challenges come up, and to be the best version of myself possible.”  

Jim has 35 years of both hands-on construction and management experience in new home construction and remodeling. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.


Tripp Bunker, Vice President of Land Acquisitions and Development

Focused on providing quality construction coupled with unparalleled value, Tripp Bunker, the Founder of Sagamore Homes, assembled a team of owners, management specialists and professional craftsmen who join him in creating exceptional designs in the finest neighborhoods. 

Tripp began his career in land development and home building in 1999. Since then, he has developed over 25 new home communities and built homes in various locations throughout Winston Salem, Clemmons, Greensboro, High Point, and Lexington.

Jacob Brown, Superintendent

“It’s a team effort. I just have to make sure I’m doing my part so everyone else can do theirs. Beautiful homes are built when a team of people all do their part. We have a great product that is only going to get better. Our team’s desire is to be the best. We are onto something good here and our customers see that in every house we build.”

Having worked in multiple trades within the industry, including holding a state of Michigan Builder’s License, owning his own home improvement business is what led Jacob to meeting one of the partners.

“My goal is to take care of all my responsibilities and to be the best team member I can be. I am no better than anyone here and I am always available to help! There is nothing this team can’t accomplish through dedication and hard work! We have every puzzle piece here. We just need to make sure we use them the right way,” said Jacob.

Having a father who is a General Contractor, Jacob grew up wanting to be a part of the construction world. He started his career in 2006 after graduating from Appalachian State University. After working for several home building companies as Superintendent and Construction Manager, this led to him being hired as a Superintendent with a large home builder– which happened to be his connection to Ken Anson as the President of the company and Tripp Bunker who was developing land for them. 

Kelli Rajacich, Office Manager

Kelli’s personal mission is to enhance the lives of each home buyer by facilitating a seamless buying process form contract to close. Through teamwork and the application of best business practices, the people in our lives are enabled to accomplish more collectively, than could be done separately.

Kelli establishes a positive flow of communication with other agents, buyers, and sellers, mortgage officers, and attorneys involved in the home buying and selling process. After graduating from Appalachian State, she began working for R J Reynolds Tobacco Company as a Sales Representative.  Kelli has also had the pleasure of working as a Real Estate Agent.  She finds great joy in collaborating with people, especially when the end result is finding a place families can call home!

Lana Harris, New Homes Specialist

Lana earned her Real Estate License in 2005 and began her career in New Home Sales in 2006. SheI fell in love with it and has been helping customers with the home buying process ever since.  Formerly, she had a very rewarding career in Local Government where she held several positions from Payroll/Personnel Admin., Town Clerk, Finance Office and Town Manager.

Crystal Hatcher, New Homes Specialist

Crystal's personal mission is to make everyone she comes in contact with feel that they are the only person she has seen all day. Crystal wants them to know she cares about them, their family and the new home they are purchasing. Crystal tries to show that by educating them and providing excellent customer service.

Her background is in auto sales and marketing however her passion has been real estate for as long as she can remember. Crystal began helping clients part time in general brokerage real estate and now has the opportunity to focus on her love of new home construction full time.

Jodi Tate, Sales and Marketing Director

“I learned from my parents, the importance of a plan.  My dad, a former head football coach at Wake Forest, taught me to develop a game plan to move the ball down the field.  Progressively advancing the ball involves adaption, creative solutions, and concentrated effort.”

There are no spectators when it comes to selling or buying real estate.  All parties involved are kept in the loop all the way and learn the game plan and how it will be implemented.  Winning means that ‘we’ achieve your real estate goal.

Jodi develops and implements the Sagamore marketing strategy as well as manages the sales team. The first ten years in Jodi’s real estate career were spent being a top selling Realtor in the Winston-Salem area.  During the next years, she managed branch offices, led a 250-agent company, developed prestigious seminars and provided coaching for hundreds of elite Realtors nationwide.  Developing, communicating and implementing winning strategies are three things she is passionate about.  These three hallmarks have been and continue to be the core of her business mentality.


Elizabeth Castelda Nance, Marketing Manager

“Being in real estate is a “way of life” for me. My personal mission is to make it as easy as possible for a potential buyer to daydream, to visualize living their “way of life” at one of Sagamore’s communities through various marketing vehicles designed to make a vision come to life.”

Elizabeth began her real estate career in 2004, after graduating from Appalachian State University. She began with residential resale sales, transitioned into new homes sales and eventually led to marketing at a corporate level for a Triad brokerage firm as well as for a nationally ranked real estate team. Elizabeth currently oversees the implementation of strategic marketing planning. She is honored to take this journey with the Sagamore team, and vicariously through them, gets to take this journey with Sagamore home buyers. It is Sagamore’s desire for our homebuyers benefit from each team member’s unique professional contribution as an end result.
